Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Bookkeeper and Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and public accounting. This role requires proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks, Accounting CS, and Excel as well as excellent customer service skills to assist clients effectively throughout the tax filing process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations.
• Prepare corporate financials and payroll and analyze financial information to determine tax liabilities.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify any questions regarding their financial situations.
• Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to provide informed advice to clients.
• Assist clients with inquiries related to their tax filings, bookkeeping and payroll services, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions.

Experience

• Proven experience in tax preparation, corporate accounting, or public accounting is preferred.
• Familiarity with financial software such as QuickBooks and Accounting CS is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
• A commitment to continuous learning about changes in tax laws and best practices in the industry.

Salary/Compensation: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
