Mylo is building a dynamic data and analytics team that powers our insurance business with insights that drive growth and efficiency. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a key role in optimizing our small commercial insurance sales performance by purchasing and analyzing leads in an exchange marketplace. You will use your technical expertise in analytics, data visualization, and reporting to identify high-value opportunities, guide strategic decisions, and ensure our lead investment delivers exceptional ROI.

This role blends business intelligence, financial analysis, and performance optimization - ideal for a data-driven professional who enjoys using insights to tell a story, drive business outcomes, and make a measurable impact.

  • Analyze lead buy performance and deliver actionable insights to drive data-informed strategic decisions
  • Monitor daily lead metrics – such as performance, acquisition costs, budget pacing, and agent capacity - and adjust buying patterns to align with business objectives
  • Track and report on key performance indicators including LTV/CAC ratio, Annualized Premium, and Revenue, ensuring alignment with financial and growth targets
  • Own and continuously refine the lead buy strategy, including documentation of decision-making frameworks, bid change logs, and KPI-based optimizations
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team and key stakeholders to refine lead buy appetites and ensure targeting strategies align with lead distribution lead distribution processes, sales capacity, and routing logic to maximize conversion and ROI
  • Maintain strong engagement with sales feedback channels, using qualitative insights to inform targeted lead buy adjustments
  • Interpret and synthesize data from multiple sources and combine them to identify areas for improvement and spend efficiency
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with targeted bid partners, leading regular meetings to review performance, implement strategic changes, and maximize volume makeup
  • Lead monetization projections, planning and execution of tactics for no market volume
  • Request, track, and implement partner campaign/lead buy adjustments across platforms, ensuring all changes are documented and aligned with broader objectives
  • Lead quarterly optimization meetings for both targeted partners and internal stakeholders, presenting performance trends, strategic insights, and action plans for continued improvement
  • Approve monthly invoices from related vendors and targeted bid partners, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with contract terms
  • Ensure data accuracy and lead quality through regular audits, refund tracking & processing, and validation reporting to avoid misattributed spend and ensure lead quality
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports in Tableau
  • Perform data validation, auditing, and documentation to maintain high quality, reliable data sources
  • Collaborate with engineering and data teams to integrate new data sources and improve reporting efficiency
  • Educate both technical and non-technical stakeholders on understanding reports, data trends, and business implications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills, with the ability to manage large budgets and evaluate ROI
  • 2+ years of relevant experience deriving meaningful information from data through analysis and data visualization
  • Experience buying leads in an auction marketplace preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Tableau (or similar BI tools)
  • Advanced knowledge of programs such as MS Excel, Google Suite; SQL knowledge preferred
  • Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills to deliver insights clearly to stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly organized, with exceptional project management and documentation abilities
  • Commercial Insurance experience a plus
  • Passion for continuous learning and staying current with BI and analytics trends
