We’re currently hiring for Entry-Level Trade roles in the South Chicago Suburbs , where you’ll train for high-demand specialties that benefit both military and civilian careers.
Available Positions Include:
- Horizontal Construction Engineer
- Tracked Vehicle Mechanic
- Technical Engineer
- Heavy Vehicle Operator
- Forklift Operator
- Petroleum Supply Specialist
- Interior Electrician
- Culinary Specialist
- HVAC Technician
What you’ll do
- All new Soldier's are required to attend basic training (10 Weeks) regardless of job chosen.
- You will select your own job, bonus, station and other incentives before ever signing a contract with the United States Army.
- After basic training, you will attend advanced individual training for your selected job to certify you in that career. That certification is worth College Credits, Trade Certifications, Journeyman status and other professional depending on the job.
- After training the Army Reserves returns to their local area and joins a Army Reserve Unit. You will conduct your duties one weekend of the month and two weeks in the summer.
Requirements
- Must be willing to enlist in the U.S. Army Reserves and meet all enlistment criteria.
- Must be within the ages of 17-41.
- Must be a High School Graduate, GED Holder or have more than 14 college credit hours.
- Must be physically fit or capable of being and not under the care of a Doctor for any ongoing medical conditions.
- Must pass a background check. We do not work with domestic violence, sex offenders, drug offenses and habitual offenders.
- Must be a United States Citizen or Green Card Holder (I-551 Card)
- Other qualifications will be evaluated by an Army Recruiter, Background investigator, military doctor and testing proctor.
