Summary

Description
The Floor Factory is Flooring America…is a locally owned and operated business in Wenatchee, WA since 1976. We are actively looking for an experienced sales and design flooring expert and are willing to train the right candidate for this position. The right person will be a motivated independent self-starter. Our flooring design consultants work with the public in our showroom as well as in the homes of our clients. During this process, our experts advise customers on product selection and determining the appropriate products and services. This may include assisting in color selection of the products and the benefits of the products we have to offer. Our consultants are responsible for all aspects of the sales process including contacting potential leads, accurately measuring areas, preparing estimates, completing work orders, scheduling and following up with customers during and after the sale. This full time position is based on commissioned sales. Individual will need a valid driver’s license and their own vehicle. This position will include working Saturdays.

Duties

Expectations for the Sales Consultant

• Maintain a clean and neat showroom
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Handle sales from start to finish
• Sell flooring and floor care products
• Answer customer questions
• Help customer with decorating and/or design advice
• Prospect for new business
• Manage time in the showroom, in the customer's home and prospecting for new clients
• Undergo extensive product and sales training to become a certified flooring and design expert
• Keep up-to-date on the wide select of floors we offer along with the benefits and warranties provided by each

Requirements

Qualifications for the Sales Consultant

• College degree a plus, but not required
• Retail sales experience a plus
• Passion and/or experience decorating or designing
• Self-starter
• Personally well-organized
• Microsoft Office a plus
• Flexible work hours to include Saturdays
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation for In-Home visits

Nice To Haves

• Flooring knowledge highly sought
