POSITION:           Restaurant & Banquet Servers   

DEPARTMENT:  Banquets            

REPORTS TO:     Banquet Manager          

FLSA STATUS:   Non-Exempt       

Summary

Premier Food Services at the Del Mar Fairgrounds & Racetrack is looking for Restaurant and Banquet Servers . This is a seasonal/temporary position for the 2025 Breeders Cup Championship October 30 th - November 1 st . Servers must have 2 years of service experience and have their Food Handlers certification and RBS #. Must be able to attend orientation on Saturday , October 18 th and any additional training shifts as directed by management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for providing timely food and beverage service

• Work in a fast paced , high demand environment

• General knowledge of food and alcohol is required

• Proficiency with touch screen POS systems (Aloha experience a plus)

• Perform other restaurant duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience        

• Two y ears of f ood or c ocktail s ervice experience

Skills and Abilities

• Must be able to carry a service tray set with up to eight full plates.                      

• Position requires standing, walking and lifting up to 25 pounds.  

• Must have the ability to work late hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Computer Skills  

POS system

Other Qualifications 

Must be RBS certified by the start of employment. Servers must be a minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcohol.

Compensation

This position's compensation is $16.80 per hour, not including tips.
