Senior Risk Analyst – Refined Products

We’re partnering with an energy trading firm seeking a Senior Risk Analyst (5+ years’ experience) to support a Refined Products trading desk .

This role sits close to the front office and will focus on P&L oversight, exposure monitoring, and market risk analysis across physical and/or derivatives books.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Daily P&L reporting and analysis for refined products trading
• Monitoring market risk, exposures, and key risk metrics
• Close interaction with traders, commercial teams, and operations
• Independent review of positions, valuations, and risk drivers
• Enhancing risk controls, reporting, and risk frameworks

Desirable Qualities:

• 5+ years’ experience in market risk / trading risk within commodities or energy
• Strong understanding of refined products (e.g. gasoline, distillates, jet, fuel oil)
• Comfortable partnering directly with traders and senior stakeholders
• Advanced Excel skills; SQL / Python a plus
• Trading house or bank background preferred

This is a high-visibility role with meaningful exposure to the trading desk.
