\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour shifts: 0700-1900 or 1930-0730
\n• Every other weekend requirement: Friday and Saturday for nights, Saturday and Sunday for days
\n• Holiday rotation required to distribute holidays fairly
\n• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 on 30-bed unit (three 10-bed units)
\n• Must pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract (80% score required)
\n• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
\n• Must have minimum 1 year Med-Surg experience, telemetry experience preferred
\n• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
\n• Float requirements include Multi Care Unit, Pediatric unit, and West Campus Med-Surg Tele
\n• May be required to precept nursing students
\n• Care for surgical patients (hip/knee replacements, bowel resections, hysterectomies) and medical patients (MRSA, C-diff, COPD, pneumonia, withdrawal)
\n• Handle telemetry patients with chest pain and cardiac monitoring
\n• Work with stable CPAP or BiPAP patients
\n• Standby rotation for low census situations
\n• Can wear any scrub color except camouflage
\n• Use Cerner charting system
\n• BSN not required
