Role Summary

We seek a dedicated Crisis Specialist to provide immediate, on-site crisis stabilization and support to clients in a hotel-based environment in Fridley, MN. This role requires rapid assessment, de-escalation, and resource coordination for individuals experiencing behavioral health emergencies, homelessness, or acute distress. Services must align with Minnesota’s 245.D licensing standards for home and community-based support.

Key Responsibilities

• Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate trauma-informed support, de-escalation, and stabilization to clients in crisis within the hotel setting.
• Safety Planning: Develop individualized crisis prevention/safety plans compliant with 245B.D regulations.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with law enforcement, healthcare providers, social services, and hotel staff to ensure client safety and continuity of care.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic records of interventions, assessments, and progress notes in compliance with 245B.D and company protocols.
• Resource Navigation: Connect clients with housing, mental health services, medical care, and community resources.
• Training: Implement evidence-based crisis response strategies and participate in 245B.D-mandated trainings (e.g., CPR/First Aid, vulnerable adult protections).

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

• 245.D Expertise: Proven experience delivering 245B.D-compliant services in Minnesota; familiarity with person-centered planning and restrictive procedure protocols.
• Crisis Experience: 2+ years in crisis response, behavioral health, or emergency services (homelessness, SUD, or mental health settings preferred).
• Hotel/Non-Traditional Setting Flexibility: Comfort working in non-clinical environments (e.g., hotels, shelters).
• Background Checks: Clear MN DHS background study and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills:

• De-escalation certifications (e.g., CPI, NCI)..
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Schedule & Compensation

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts (days/nights/weekends); flexibility required for crisis coverage.
• Compensation: $20–$28/hour (based on experience)
